Transport in Horten
Horten is in many ways a communication center for bus, ferry and railway.
The Bastø ferries operating between Moss and Horten carry some 2 million people annually. The ferries leave every half hour between Moss and Horten. Crossing time is 30 minutes.
The bus station and taxi stand are located in the centre of Horten with a short distance to the ferry landing.We have good bus connections in the municipality and surrounding municipalities, and have a well-developed network of bus routes.
North and southbound trains leave from Skoppum station with bus connections from Horten (15 min.).
Yachters and boaters are welcome to Horten's many guest harbours.
